A Macro Utility for CDISC Datasets Cross Checking

Abstract

CDISC validation tools such as Pinnacle 21 check standards compliance but not dataset content, and A&R programmers need study- and therapy-area-specific checks throughout the analysis lifecycle. This paper presents a configurable SAS macro utility that systematizes cross checking across SDTM and ADaM datasets; its modular sub-macro framework lets users plug in custom checking rules, extensible beyond CDISC datasets. The macro generates a formatted Excel discrepancy report with a hyperlinked summary tab and one sheet per issue category, supporting faster data review cycles.
